I Am The Pearl Poem by Priti Pauline

I Am The Pearl

I am a pearl
Manifest in colourful swirls
Like clouds dancing in a whirl
Or a hurricane's turning twirl
A night babies tiny curl

Embryonic in Nature
Secure and confined in capture
As it laughs in rapture
And pains ripen to mature.
Then
Just as the night sky falls
We'll see t'is only the dark that can reveal all
The long and short, meek and small
That live beyond these oysters walls
Grounded by the serpent on call
That hisses and squeals with guts and gall
Not scared of any sorta brawl
To protect this maturing radiant pearl,
With it treasure so tender
Far from the reaches of parents or gender
The one true great defender

I am the Pearl
See me in one
See me in All

I Am The Pearl
