I Am Tired Poem by Bob Kasiita

I Am Tired

I am tired, whispers the policeman,
Tired of poor living conditions,
Tired of inadequate safety measures,
Tired of limited funding and logistics.

I am tired, cries the poor woman,
Tired of high medical expenses,
Tired of inflated prices of commodities,
Tired of domestic violence.

I am tired, protests the teacher,
Tired of delayed and inadequate salaries,
Tired of substandard working and living conditions,
Tired of educational inequality.

I am tired, shouts the boda guy,
Tired of poor road conditions and accidents,
Tired of harassment by the police,
Tired of obstacles in obtaining a license.

I am tired, screams the traders,
Tired of unreasonably high taxes,
Tired of land-related fraud and loans,
Tired of unfavorable government policies.

I am tired, weeps a poor boy,
Tired of rampant corruption and unemployment,
Tired of slow progress,
Tired of misery and suffering in his own home.
