I Am Your Wife Poem by Carike Klokow

I Am Your Wife

The bed is so cold, your goodbyes feel old
and i cant believe your gone
I miss your sweet breath on my neck
and im left, wondering what we've done
Your love is my salvation, my food, my drink, my senses
and ever more so patient, no more living in pretenses.
This body i rest in this empty bed
and as i lay down this juggeling head
I pray to God please just see
this woman's heart is leaving me
this life i've known, this mask i've worn
is now all gone, is now all torn.
It's you my love that warms the bed,
its you that juggles with my head
my heart is yours, i make a vow
that i will never leave you now
I will honor, love and keep you
and never ever hurt you
I stare at this ring you gave me
as i stare at our future to be
i can truely honestly say
that there is no other way
i have met my match for life!
I am proud to be your wife! ! !
