I Blame You God Poem by P K Joy

I Blame You God

You have made me
head of a rich big state.
However, I don’t consider
that Your act is really great.
For, You haven’t given me
the amount of wisdom and wit
Needed to be a ruler.
So, for the post I’m not fit.
Truthfully, my state’s subjects
have no faith in me.
Any day they might revolt
and overthrow my regime.
Day is not very far when
I’ll suffer that disgrace and flee,
Or get hanged, like many other rulers
who could not go scot-free.

I wish I were a commoner with
wisdom and sense of fairness
That would have bestowed on me
Some attributes of greatness.
