I Cannot Poem by Minnie Gehrig

I Cannot

I cannot lie here under the bridge of my tresspasses
Wrapped in guilt,
As you would have me,

Instead I throw it into the lake
I watch as it swellls, heavier, heavier
It sinks, beneth the brackish what ifs?

So I take in all the boys with there
crooked smiles,
N make love to them on the shore,
One by one I skip them like stones acroos
the still water, I watch as They sink,
i dance naked laughing at the moon,
Under the hood of twighlight
The stars wink at me, n I wink back,

Until exhausted i collapse on the shuddering bank,
alone but not lonely,
Beside the goddess
Weightless and free!
