I Conjure Poem by Rik Bertrand

I Conjure

I have become who I once was in my past,
And the time is now, it has come at last.
This potion I brew will be my just cause,
I will conjure the maiden that I truly was.

I am truly a lady of fine stature and praise,
I have proven favor, in theses so trying days.
But there is something not right, I am not of this time,
I feel so out of place, and I am losing my mind.

The solution is clear; I have my magical ways,
I will revive my dear past, and see the old days.
A witch's delight with potions and brews,
The vision comes clear with, oh, loving news.

My vision is I, in a world not of here,
I am just little me, set in on a magical tier.
The lips of my double speak honest and true,
You know my sweet love, what you must do.

I stepped into the circle, where the magic was strong,
Our hands touched each others, and then we were both gone.
To a world of great wonders, and beauty untold
A world I belong to, where new life will unfold.

It's not so much a Revival but a Renewal of hope,
Like takings new chances and grabbing a rope.
Its not the past that I thought so dear to me,
It a new world entirely that has set me free.

REB (MARCH 2012) because sometimes you're not of this time or place, and you need to get away.
