For you I cried a river
and an ocean so deep
the love you showed me
made my heart so very weak
I fought for you
when I could not fight for myself
all my friends would always say
'jessica, find you someone else'
For you I cried a river
and a valley so wide
regardless of what you went through
I was found by your side
Helping on every hand
the best way I should
doing everything that was possible
that a good woman could
For you, I cried a river
and a mountain so high
but now as I look back over us-
I noticed, All i did was cry.
