I'd like to be cruel,
But I don't know how.

I'd like to hurt you,
But that's just not me.

I'd like to make you cry,
But it's me that sheds the tears.

I'd like to hold you really tight,
But you won't let me. I don't understand.

I'd like to be able to hate you,
But it seems that I just can't.

I'd like to say I am so confused,
But you just keep me in the dark.

I'd like to love you,
But you won't let me in.

I'd like to break through your defences,
But there's no chance of that.
