I feel stupid when I trip and fall
My cheeks grow hot, I feel so small
With every step, I pray I won't stumble
But when I do, my confidence crumbles
I feel stupid when I forget my lines
My heart races, my throat tightens
Words that were once at the tip of my tongue
Now escape me, my mind has gone numb
I feel stupid when I can't solve the math
Numbers jumble, it's like a bloodbath
Frantically searching for the missing piece
But it's like my brain is taking a leave
I feel stupid when I get lost in thought
Miles away, my mind has been caught
People call my name, but I don't hear
Lost in my own world, I'm consumed by fear
I feel stupid when I try to make a joke
But it falls flat, no one laughs, they just choke
On the awkwardness, I wish I could take back
But the damage is done, I feel like a hack
I feel stupid when I can't figure out
What people mean, words that twist and shout
I nod my head, pretending to understand
But inside, I feel like I'm sinking in quicksand
I feel stupid when I keep making mistakes
My confidence shaken, like a vase it breaks
Each wrong move, I lose a little more faith
In myself, in my abilities, I feel unsafe
I feel stupid when I can't pronounce a word
My tongue tied, it's like I've never heard
Of it before, the letters all jumbled
I feel like a failure, so incompetent, so humbled
I feel stupid when I compare myself
To others who seem to have it all figured out
I can't help but wonder, what's wrong with me
Why can't I be as smart, as witty, as carefree
I feel stupid, it's a constant pain
Like I'll never measure up, I'll always remain
Inadequate, flawed, just not good enough
And the more I try, the more I feel rough
But then I realize, I don't have to be
A perfect image of what others want to see
I am me, unique in my own way
And that's something no one can take away
I may feel stupid, but I won't let it define me
I'll rise above, with my head held high, I'll see
That my worth isn't based on a number or grade
It's in the effort I put in, the progress I've made
So I won't let my mistakes make me feel small
I'll learn from them, and rise above them all
I won't let my flaws dim my inner light
I'll embrace them, and shine ever so bright
I may feel stupid, but I am not
I am brave, I am strong, I am a fighter, a fighter who fought
Against the doubts and fears, and emerged victorious
I may feel stupid, but I am also glorious.
