I look over the water
watching the drops from the trees splash,
disturbing the surface,
i think of you and me
back then, that autumn,
the leaves bright red on the ground,
we had fun that night,
in the cabin, by the fire
we laughed..and kissed
i felt whole in your arms,
like i could never hurt,
except i did, you tore my heart
that next day,
you went back to him,
without a care for me,
and how i felt about us,
all this time has gone past,
but i still love you.
