I found a dream last night
Nestled in my sleeping mind
I think I’ll keep it there a while
It’s too pleasant to let go.
I don’t want to wake up
And why should I
When dreams I can
Be so much more?
Nightmares notwithstanding
Starlight beckons and I drift
Away on a river of scattered
Diamond points of light
To where ever my mind may take me
That’s the power of dreams
That it is all in your head
The scariest thing
The most enticing thing
Why would anyone want to wake up?
