I Got Your Blood Poem by Gideon Arthur

I Got Your Blood

Donate your blood for me
Luckily you’re a match
I hope I get to live
When you give to me from your blood a scratch

I hope to meet you now
Get to know you, bow and say wow
‘Cause to me you’re my savior
Waking me from my anemia
Thank God he gave you that
When I was ready to make apart
It’s abundance in your city
Conquered my vulnerability

Now I do know someone cares
I was diagnosed; that scares
Guessing I will dry
Then you did came by
Sharing with me your sweet pie

When you walked through all the pain
Just to wash my stain
I couldn’t but express my gratitude
Knowing what you did wasn’t servitude
You did so because you care and love
That’s all needed to be above.

I am not the only being
Who in this is world is keen
To benefit from someone like you
Yes a lot needs you
Kindly keep on doing what you do

If all would act justly
Donating their abundant readily
Many lives would be saved easily
Letting love continue its course
Death; blood, organ failures won’t be a cause
Why?
Because you’ve brought low the toll from on high.
