I Have Oft Held Her Hand Poem by Brandon Brown

I Have Oft Held Her Hand

I have oft held her hand
Have carried her for miles
Oh how I love to hear her laugh
And melt at her smiles

My heart beats pure and true
Of this she needs to know
Now, can she grasp how much I care
And how I miss her so?

Those sweetest times have passed
Replaced by days of blues
Hold dear the memory of our bond
Oh what a thing to lose

The future is not set
Her absence can not stand
I Hope for when I say again
'I have oft held her hand'
