I Hear You Poem by Arwa Bharmal

I Hear You

A thought just crossed my mind
A voice spoke to me from inside.

A lap to lay down your head
A shoulder for you to lean on
A hand to catch the fallen tear
A smile in exchange for bad news
A friend to fulfil a promise
A relative to tell you the truth

A voice; ‘I’ll be there for you’
“I hear what you say”
“I’ll listen if I may”
“I won’t leave if you say”
“I’ll stay till the last day”
Someone to say, ‘It’ll be okay’
‘Do you need anything? Just say’
More importantly, ‘Need Anyone? ’
“If you want; I am Someone.”
