I Just Want You To Know Who I Am Poem by Gerard Taylor

I Just Want You To Know Who I Am

I just want you to know who I am
I am no more a child, I am here, I am a man
I don`t think you understand
I know I can`t fit into your plans
I just wanted to play with you on the beach, on the sands
You know there have been times
When I had to bleed to feel alive
And today I am no longer alone
Thats not the way I want to survive
Today I live with myself, today I thrive
My childhood has wasted away
What`s left of my memories?
I don`t want them to stay
I don`t want my life that way
You brought me here, what can I say?
I just want you to know who I am
I am no more a child, I am here, I am a man.
