I Like You Poem by Emily Reid

I Like You

If they ask me if I like you, I promise that I'll lie.
I will not make things harder, and complicate goodbye.

I'll turn the other way, and pretend I do not care.
I'll try to forget the great moments that we shared.

You try to be mean, and on purpose make me sad.
You act like it's an okay thing for you to treat me bad.

So I'm walking away now, leaving with a smile,
I promise to forget, even if it takes a while.

I will move on, there's nothing you could say.
I'm sick and tired of these stupid games you play.

So it's over now, I'm ending what never was or will.
Even if you hate me now, I will always love you still.
