I love you is what you told me
I love you is what you said
but if it were up to me
I really want you dead.

You pretended to love me
and said you wished you were my dad
I was young and stupid then
so I smiled and said I love you too.

But there was more
you couldn't hold back
the devil in you said
it was done to you go ahead.

I was scared and ashamed
I thought you were my friend
how stupid was I!
I wanted my life to end

The police came
you made my mom scream
they couldn't believe it
maybe it was just a bad dream.

we went to court
Guilty you pleaded
the look you gave me
told me you weren't leavin'

I love you is what you told me
