'I Love You But...' Poem by Adam Westwood

I'll never forget those words.

'But I love you' are the greatest words you can hear from a loved one.

Someone you love.
Someone you adore.
Someone you give your heart and soul for.
You know you are not alone.

When that person you love, adore and give your heart and soul for says with tears of sadness, 'I love you but...', your world comes crashing down.

No longer do you feel loved.
No longer do you feel adored.
No longer do you give your heart and soul.
It is just you and you alone.

'I love you but...' is the same as 'I never loved you at all'
