I Love You Yet You Cannot Love Me Poem by Sebastian Soberania

I Love You Yet You Cannot Love Me

Rating: 5.0

in this manner
of incompatibility

walls as thick as rules
barriers like oceans to faraway islands
i will have useless ears
and self-defeating fins

in this kind of love
that cannot love but simply watch
and feel the beating of hearts
from a distance

i prostrate myself to this
unwanted divinity
i have this small picture of your face
i take a look and touch your lips
i close my eyes
and dream.

that is enough
for me.
