I’m Fabrice Poem by Fabrice Wonga

I’m Fabrice

I’m not the player my appearance portrays
I’m not the black man society perceives
I’m not the arrogance my swagger betrays
I’m the epitome of what my tongue conceives

I’m not the character my clothes distort
I’m not the mind my genes consult
I’m not the shines that push eyes to ache
I’m the force my heartbeats forsake

I’m not the cycle your heart seeks to break
I’m not the lies my ego pleases
I’m not vibes that cries out mistake
I’m the bliss my kiss releases

I’m the dreams my heart discerns
I’m the reward of your hearts yearns
