I'm Free Thank God I'm Free Poem by Michael P. Johnson

I'm Free Thank God I'm Free

Crying in rain, laughing in snow
Summer, winter weather
All peoples worldwide should flow
Like birds flocked together

Should not the world be one in Christ?
Guided by God above
Why else was Jesus sacrificed?
If not because of love

Yet reason reveals we'll never
Collectively be one
Something somehow will sever
Without Jesus God's Son

Jesus, is a bygone story
Of darkness, sometimes light
Of power somehow of glory
A fairy tale at night

I say this, because I know Him
Because He cares with love
Running, flowing, over life's brim
Here, now and above

Think it over, in heart and mind
Pray Jesus touch your soul
Could be one day, you too, may find
Love is life's perfect goal

The Goal most people fail to find
Would never seek nor care
Because soul deaf, hateful blind
Love is not there's to share

Ponder, what these true words would tell
Written for you to see
Know Christ's Heaven, devils, in hell
Know through Jesus, I'm free.....
