I'M Gone Poem by Atty Davis

I'M Gone

I'm Gone
So don't look for me here or there
I'm flyin through the air
Doves callin' me by name
Mountain springs run through my veins

But you don't see it that way
Holdin' on to the past that's yesterday
Walkin' in the dark you will see
There's no light that leads to me

So hold on to your dreams babe
Let your body sleep babe
I'll find you in your peace
I promise you will see me there
You will see me there

But I'm gone
So don't look for me here or there
My heart and soul are everywhere
We can mingle in tree tops
Or down in the canyon rocks

But you don't see it that way
HOldin' on to the past that's yesterday
Walkin' in the dark you will see
There's no light that leads to me

So hold on to your dreams babe
Let your body sleep babe
I'll find you in your peace
I promise you will see me there
You will see me there

But I'm gone
So don't look for me here or there
I've been callin' out your name
But you only listen to the pain
It's a place I know no more

So Stop!
See that I am the sand between your toes
The new freckle on your nose
Snowflake upon your tongue
Every song you've ever sung

The funny penguin in the zoo babe
The part of the ocean that makes it blue babe
The cold and wet autumn air
So I can be your blanket and your chair

Feel me everywhere babe
And I'll find you in your peace babe
I promise you will see me there
You will see me there

But until that day dawns babe, I'm Gone
