I miss the days when I was young
When you always said you loved me
Or when you took me places just you and me

I miss the days when I was young
When you were there
When I skinned my knee

I miss the days when I was young
When I came home happy to see you
And gave you a great big hug

I miss all the days when I was young
When I needed a shoulder to cry on
You were there
When I needed someone to talk to
You were there
When I needed someone to keep my secrets
You were there

And know all those days are gone
