I Never Feared Fire Poem by Scot Warren

I Never Feared Fire

I never feared fire
Until I was burned
You were a lesson
I never had learned
I need to relinquish
Thoughts of shame
Cause in the end
It’s all a game
I feel set up
Like some sort of con
It will take me a while
Before I move on
But in the end
You will pay the cost
For you haven’t a clue
On how much you lost
