I See, I Know, I Feel Poem by Claire Ann Sansolis

I See, I Know, I Feel

I see goodness in people—

in faithfulness lived quietly,

in service given without applause,

in kindness shown in small, ordinary moments.

I know that admiration can rise naturally,

when the heart recognizes sincerity,

when character stands out in a room,

when someone's life reflects discipline, sacrifice, and care.

I feel what it is to be moved by that—

to feel seen in return,

to feel alive in moments of connection,

to feel gratitude for shared humanity and warmth.

And still, I am learning

that seeing does not mean pursuing,

that knowing does not mean possessing,

and that feeling does not mean I must follow it.

I can acknowledge what is beautiful

without turning it into a story I must complete.

I can appreciate someone's life

without needing it to become mine.

I can feel deeply

and still choose wisely.

So I see.

I know.

I feel.

And then I return—

to what is mine to hold,

to what is mine to honor,

to what is mine to remain faithful to.

I remain rooted.

In covenant.

In wisdom.

In love that is already mine.

In God who steadies my heart.

And I let everything else

rest in His hands. 🌸
