I Shall Love You From Afar Poem by Nyx C Styx

I Shall Love You From Afar

I have a heart unbounded
I have a soul ignited
I have no fear to lift into the wind the words
'I love You'

For on the subject of cupids arrows
I have made myself a willing target
Having taken his arrows and by my own hands
plunged them so deep into my heart
that they may never be extracted

Alas! my tongue betrays me
and transmutes to heavy lead
unable to lift into the wind the words
'I Love you'

and thus I am condemned to love you from afar

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I know not where of the fear of confessing ones love originates. Is it a fear unfounded? or shall I dissolve into an oblivion of atoms if you deny me your passions. I am sincerely yours truly and of my loyalty and passion you know not.
