I Still Love You Poem by ashley roberts

I Still Love You

I used to be your umbrella and suffer the storm, just to protect you from the rain
I used to be your medicine and let you take every bit of me to keep you from pain
I used to hold you so tight so you did not have to fear a fall in life ever again
Last time you did you got so hurt and to help you stand put on a lot of strain
I love to care for you, its just the way I am, always there for you, give a helping hand
I was stupid to leave you and break your heart but not being around you tore me apart
To face the fact that I have lost the one I was meant for, well that’s just the start
It’s each time I think how I hurt you, each time I think I wonder if I can fix your heart
I know that love is sometimes blinding but I know that I can never have that excuse
Because you was everything to me and out of no were I left you on a stupid impulse
I cant have you back even though I would so much like to because the love is to strong
So now there’s only one thing left to say, I still love you, I wanted to say that for so long
