' I Surrender......' Poem by Shondrika Anderson Williams

Heavenly Father, here I am your child surrending my heart.
Please teach me how to handle and still love those who mean no good from the start.
Show me how to smile even when I want to frown.
Give me the strength to get back up after being down.
Heal any sickness that may come my way.
Give me the courage to proceed with each day.
Lord I know that it's because of you that I am still here.
That's why I walk by faith and without fear.
No one is perfect and will never be.
We must all remember that whatever we may or may not do you can see.
Please continue to hold us all as we attempt to live by your will.
With love and understanding our hearts, I ask you to fill.
Lord be with us in every way.
Thank you for all you've done and will continue to do, to you this prayer I pray.
