Understand—none else exists but That One,
Each thread is spun by Its breath alone.
Stars scatter Its light far and wide,
I, too, am none but the One—
What wondrous Oneness?
I sang of It in the desert's pulse,
In the river's rhythm, in the heart's silent hush.
A thousand veils—and in each, It remains imageless,
I, too, am none but the One—
What is this formlessness?
All that It touched turned to molten gold—
Even silence found voice in the nightingale's soul.
The 'I' I knew dissolved into the void,
I, too, am none but the One—
What revelation is this?
The Unseen drew near and whispered something
Neither eye could see, nor ear could hear.
It polished my self like glass to transparency,
I, too, am none but the One—
What is this hidden secret?
At last, my gaze lifted the veil and said:
'This 'I' is nothing, nor any blurred god.'
When sight cleared, only That remained here,
I, too, am none but the One—
Is this the Unmanifest?
No traveler, no path to any destination,
No call, no echo of any voice.
I was the veil, the wound, the wall between—
I, too, am none but the One—
This is the enchantment.
Now I am sanctity, I am divine breath—
No angels, no signs, no sacred apartness.
No form, no void—only the Unique,
I, too, am none but the One—
Only That exists, nothing else.
