When I've traveled on my own
I feel I've lost the love you've shown
and I long to turn to you to guide me back
to a place where I have grown
for it's you I've come to know
as a friend,
as a Friend.

And when all the world's grown cold
I turn to you for I was told
that you'd never leave my side.

And until we reach the end
I'll be glad to have you Friend
by my side,
by my side.

For you give me the strength
to carry on.
And when my time has come
