I Turn Towards My Lady, Seeking Poem by Anees Rahman

I Turn Towards My Lady, Seeking

I turn towards my lady, seeking
Like a baby eager for lunch, seeing
Off to a whisper that burst out loud
Begging Forgiveness in the name, desire
The fish shall turn off the rocks, for water
And so shall the winds off the mountains, for air
But I shall take none, though, may be I am in tire,
May be, I be weak, or still weak in here,
My love shall fight a thousand knights in there,
Where I am a prince and you are my princess.
My half filled heart, the pot, remains trembling,
For the blood of your heart, or at least a drop.
Like a bird ready to fly off the cage with hope,
I shall fly of with you to the heavens, for long
Like the falls that shall jump off the cliffs and die,
So shall I jump off the roofs, for you and die.
