I loved you from day one
I've loved you from the start
I've been there through everything
And you've always had my heart

Things haven't always been perfect
I had my share of cries
But you always seem to be there
To help me dry my eyes

There are times when I thought it was over
When I thought we were done for good
But I never really gave up on 'us'
Like I always knew I should

But no matter what has ever happened
You always come right back
I guess these other people
Don't get that we will last

When we weren't together
We both saw someone else
But none of those guys compared to you
It's like I put you up on a shelf

We decided to get back together
It's like we just can't stay apart
And no matter what will ever happen
You'll always hold my heart

Despite everything that happens
My love will always remain yours
I gave you the key to my heart
