I Want To Share With You Poem by Heather Thomas

I Want To Share With You

Rating: 5.0

Where are you going, and
Can I follow you there?

In our game
Of hide and seek -
I seek you -
I find you

You said it would be this way

Your words
They slip past my reason
But they speak wisdom
And they speak truth

Grieving for my foolishness
I cry

I laugh
How can it be like this?

You are a gift
You wonderful friend
You compassionate companion
You sweet lover of my soul

I'm glad to share with you
To be made whole in you
Receiving from you
To live by you
Learning from you
To be born again in you
Learning to die to the old in you

A very good poem. You seem to take the reader right into the situation with you. Very Good. Lynn
