I've taken you for granted
That you will always be there
The way that I've treated you
Simply isn't fair

You've loved me through all
Of the pain I've dealt out
You've accepted it all
And never given a shout

A more wonderful person
This earth does not hold
A truly fabulous person
If I may be so bold

You are the strength
That has shored me up
Since before we had
Our first pup

Never a dropp of gratitude
Have I shown to you
But I do this to show
That I care for you

31 years is a long time
You've given your life
To this pain I cause you
It's been nothing but strife

I don't deserve you my lady
I Never have, I never will
For me my shortcoming's are
A most bitter pill

All I want is to show you
Just how beautiful are you
I know that these words
will fall short of that too
