I Wanted To Call Your Name Poem by Emmanuel Arunee Mwanza

I Wanted To Call Your Name

I wanted to call your name followed by love
I always wanted to do it over and over again

If there was a being to be surrounded by love it should be you
In love I should have been your fortress

I wanted to call your name followed by care
I always wanted it to happen over and over again

If there is someone deserving care it should be you
In care I should have made you feel loved

I always wanted to call your name followed by appreciation
I wanted to make it a routine

If there is a lady to be appreciated it should be you
In appreciating you, I should have made you aware of your worth

I wanted to call your name, my dear girl
I wanted you to know how much I love you

And I took my phone, I called you just to say nothing
And I took my phone, I sent you a blank text

Hoping it spoke volumes of my love
