I Was Dead But Now I Live Poem by Tsunami HiroshiSu

I Was Dead But Now I Live

You raised me up from the grave I dug
You touched me and though I was dead I beat for you
You drew me away from spirit's cold embrace and taught me how to live again
Kissed my lips and tasted my beating heart
Touched my hair and kissed my brow
Breathed air in to my empty lungs
Gasped
I breathed again
I lived in a lonely shell, an empty skin
You are the bones that hold me up
You structure me
I stand because of you
You raised me up from the grave I dug
I was dead but because of you
I live.
