I Whispered Alone Poem by Shamim Ahasan Ahmmed Kabir

I Whispered Alone

Rating: 1.0

Shamim AA Kabir 21/10/2016

I cannot say ‘Your life will be changed'
with the touch of my hand.
Sitting on the ground
I just wanted to touch the sand.

I cannot read the zodiac calendar,
So I cannot predict your future.
I did not wear the mask of Zorro
I am not cunning like a fox or
Daring like a wolf
And all say me a fool.

But I can say
I have no interest in swordplay
I am a human being and made of clay
I get pain in owing and sorrow
I have no power to change the fate
Of the confined gold mine labour
I have never borne the bow and arrow.

I am not a fighter against the Injustice and misrule
I am not a nobleman from Mexico or California
I had never ridden on the back of a tween horse
I never heard any oracle
I never walked in the sleep.
I am not a patient with insomnia
Neither I impressed you nor I gave you a mystic rose

I just wanted to smell your breath,
But could not touch your soul
I just wanted to catch your eyes,
But you never watched me.
I just wanted to colour your mind,
But could not touch the hue.

You may touch the hue of light
And breathed the smell of rose
Like an acrobat, You may walk on the rope
I could not do all of those
Just have I whispered alone
With all of my wishing and hope.
