I Will Be Waiting Poem by Ikenna Omeje

I Will Be Waiting

I thought this day
Will never come
That we will always be there for each other.
Though, I was wrong
I'm not foolish to believe
That both of us can
build a castle in the air.

I waited for one year to touch your delicate face,
Two years to kiss you,
And five years to cuddle you in my arms.
I'm not tired of waiting.
I will be waiting!

_
You have said goodbye
But you're still there
Looking at me from the other side.
The day is still young for us.
Our love has come to stay.
It's too late to say goodbye now
Because we're one body of two souls.

Come back my love!
I will be waiting!
