I Will find My Way Poem by Ray Anyasi

I Will find My Way

Rating: 5.0

I will find my way.
I'd follow the cracks.
They are the
signs of life.
Of the strain that comes with being.
Just being.
They are there to confess to
the battering of mortal existence.
They say to me, you too can exist here.

I will find my way.
I'd follow the trail of blood.
They are proof of loss.
For this reason, a proof of possession.
Possession of life.
They tell me
where the pain is.
Pain makes me feel.
Feeling makes me fearless.
Fearlessness kills my commonsense.
Pain is my guide. My clue to live.
It reminds me I'm alive.
It teaches me to live harder.

I will find
the fault lines.
They point to pressure.
Pressure points to life.
Life is the mother of pain.
And pain is the road.

I will find my way.
I'd follow the trail of tears on a desert floor.
They will lead me to people who cared.
Cared enough to hurt.
Hurt enough to weep.
Weep enough to water the desert with tears.
When I find them, they will teach me to fight.
To fight for what I dream about.
To knock down walls.
To build bridges.
They will teach me to sob
but not faint.
They will teach me to cry,
but not despair.

I will
find my way.
Because
I don't fear pain.
