Oh the pain we cause when least we suspect it
It causes aches like we never expect it

It tears at your heart to know you're the cause
Makes you hurt like no other if only because

I'd take that pain upon myself
If only it would be just upon myself

That pain belongs to no other
Only to me and not to another
