You were my shining star
That way you never stayed far.
I never witnessed you so weak
To the point you couldn't speak.
I was so used to your playful ways
And restless days.
But then the news came that you were sick
The pain came too quick.
You started losing breath
I didn't realize
How close you were to death.
I wish I knew,
What I could have done to protect you.
I wish I could see you're face
But you're in a higher, better place.
My love for you will forver last
Just like it did in the past.

Ok, this one brings tears to my eyes because I know exactly who you are writing about. However, once again, you have a gift with the use of your words. Very tender...very sincere, and your words express how hard it is to lose someone we love. Many people feel it, but just don't know how to express themselves with words like yours. You are not alone...We all miss her big time. I like this poem alot, but it makes me want to cry. I guess because I can relate so much to your words. Good Job Lindsay! ! !
