I Would Lose Heart Poem by Timothy Branch

I Would Lose Heart

From start to stop many prematurely lose heart
Stop enroute?
I can't. My course is all my own.
To discontinue early would offend the sender.
Having a heart to lose? I have none to lose. Its Owner is not me.
This heart belongs to the Resident and it He'll never lose it.
Faithful is my hearts Owner.
Life without the Owner was such a downer.
He'll never cede the deed as its Owner.
Knowing I'd lose heart, He called it his own from the start.
Recognition of Him as its owner, how sweet was my yielding.
The heart I would lose, the Owner did choose it was to die for.
