I Write (Purple Pen) - Poem by Wesley Garrett
'The way I feel is lightening fast
So sympathize or move your ass.
I don't rhyme just to make a dime;
I don't rhyme just to pass the time.
I write from dawn straight in to dust;
I write because this is my lust.
You can not stop imagination!
You can not hinder my creation!
I write just as the world's water flows:
over plains and rocks and even holes.
I write until my purple pen dries,
and at that point my madness will die.
My imagination can not be tamed
and i will write..fight, though some say it's lame.
I write because I have a purple pen,
and I will write until it meets its end.'
This was buried in my poetry book,
So I hope you are pleased with what you took.
