If I Am A King… Poem by Ismael Mansoor

If I am a king, I would save the world.
O, it is my thought that speaks such a hope!
If I am a king, I would still not be perfect -
O, why am I thinking that I would not?

It would be too much for me to handle,
By myself to rule the kingdom of peace,
Because I would prefer for every man,
To be kings of peace, to help me be peace-king.

What of a queen? every woman would to,
Be queens of peace, to help her be peace-queen.
Together, the king and the queen, of peace,
Would save the world once and all forever.

This is my thought that speak such highly hope,
Enough to say that it is fairy tale.
