If I Die Today Poem by zara williams

If I Die Today

If I die today
I want you to remember me
not by my name, or my face
but by what lies beneath.

I want you to know
my secrets, all the lies I've told
I want you to know
my friends, and the promises I've
kept.

I want you to know
how much I care
I want you to know
I'll' always be there.

Please, don't be worried
please, don't break down
I'll be fine
I'll be watching above.

Don't remember the mask I kept,
all those times I never spoke up
please remember the time I
made you laugh.
and made the class crack up.

I hope I have inspired you
in some way at some time
there will be things I will be
missing but it will be ok.

Everything happens for a
reason just remember, it was
just my time god wanted
one more angel he wanted a good soul like mine.
