If I Had A Time Machine - Poem by Eric Tran
If I had a time machine, that I could only use once
I wouldn't even go back to the second grade,
Where I fell down the stairs and busted my head open
I wouldn't even go back to the third grade, when I broke my ankle
And wore a cast for two weeks
I wouldn't go back to the seventh grade, where I got my ass kicked
And my eye colored black
I wouldn't go back to February 26th, three years ago
When I swallowed 50 pills and cursed my mind
I would go back to January 5th. Last year.
I would have dropped all of my bags, and stayed.
Stayed with you.
