If I had Wings then I could fly
To the Moon and back and wonder why
I had not thought of it before
Or of Living my life for evermore
I could also fly to Venus or Mars
Or cadge a lift on Shooting Stars
Oh what a magical time could be had
And stay out of trouble meet nothing bad
Time would not matter to me anymore
The Sky would be my Ocean Floor
A Sea of Blue the goes on forever
Hoping I would no longer meet inclement weather
Ride the Milky Way or Orion's Belt
A magical a feeling as I have ever felt
I could say goodnight to the Man in the Moon
But Every night might come to soon
I would need a place to rest my weary head
The thought of not sleeping fills me with dread
A living Astronaut I would become
With me and the Planets becoming as one
As long as I did not fly to near the Sun
What an adventure could be had
Space travel would be fun but maybe sad
Always being on my own
Flying around as the hot Sun was shining
With a bright Blue sky as my special Lining
A Time Traveler I might become alone
No time to reflect or to atone
For any misgivings I might of had
That people would think I am completely Mad
But you would have to do what you thought was right
As you fly off skywards every night
Free as a bird a lone wolf on a flying spree
What adventures you would have flying wild and free
Everyone can dream of doing something new
Just do it, maybe it's just the thing for you.
