If Love Is Not What It Seems

Rating: 5.0

If love is not what it seems
If love is not what it seems,
And days grow dark on awakening,
It is time for me to depart,
And seek a new path forsaking.

If the day dims when I gaze at the sun,
Then there is an inequality in my soul.
If I can no longer rejoice at all I’ve ever won,
Then all my dreams are lost,
And I wander lonely onwards
With no sense or goal.
