If They Could Only See, Like On Tv Poem by eve Taylor

If They Could Only See, Like On Tv

As she rubs,

her tired eyes,

she notices,

the dry,

around each eye,

patience,

like skin,

worn deeply thin,

guess that's where,

her emotions run in,

like rivers,

from many oceans,

running dry,

day after day,

watching world's play,

more often than not,

she jumps off,

in for the swim,

perchance to drown,

possibilities are all around,

most days,

she'd rather,

but at least she tries,

to cross,

that great divide.
