If We Had Been One Poem by Eloida Capuno

If We Had Been One

Rating: 5.0

I have dreamt of you and I
Together in our own world
Exploring all that is
possible in our limited
sphere

But we were not meant
to be one
I had no illusions since
I took every morsel of
the stolen moments
as if it'd be gone in the
wink of an eye

For whatever have become
of me and you
For all the what might
have beens
There was no sense of loss
After all, we had been one once
and that time was purely ours
forever engraved in my heart
